Sibenik was naturally inclined to become a significant renaissance centre with its unique location of being in a safe natural harbour of the Adriatic Sea, bang on the estuary of River Krka. Its rich history, the stunning architecture and even its splendid coasts are sure to leave you mesmerised. While strolling through the streets of Sibenik, you’ll easily identify it as a town from the medieval times, with fine stone architecture and intricate detailed masonry. They can be observed through the towering stone houses, cobbled streets and the numerous archways, staircases, churches and monasteries. We also arrive at St. James Cathedral to admire its magnificent architecture, which incidentally led it being named on the list of UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites.
